· Tri-ethyl phosphate participates in the thermal transformation of sodium acetate-2-C14 to n-butyl acetate-2-C14.
· It is majorly used as a catalyst in the production of acetic anhydride by the ketene process, as a desensitizing agent for peroxides, and as a solvent and plasticizer for cellulose acetate.
· It also acts as chemical intermediate in preparing tetraethyl pyrophosphate (TEPP).
