· Cure
begins at Coater Nip; advanced cure off machine
· To
improve heat resistance, scrub resistance and solvent resistance.
· Cures
upon moisture removal.
· Suitable for Food grade paper
APPLICATION
· Paper Coating,

DOSAGE
Typical addition level of Potassium Zirconium Carbonate
is recommended as under:
Paper Coating |
6-8 % wet basis on binder solids |
Aqueous Paints |
6-8 % wet basis on binder solids |
Aqueous Inks and Coating |
5-10 % wet basis on the total dry binder solids. |
Dosage can vary depending upon the
degree of cross-linking property enhancement required. The pH of the coating
before the addition of Potassium Zirconium Carbonate should be higher than 7.
It should be always added as the last component in the formulation, after
adjusting the pH at 8-9.
STORAGE
For storage stainless steel,
Polyethylene or polypropylene are suitable. Mild steel is not recommended. Potassium
Zirconium Carbonate should be stored in tightly sealed drums It is not
advisable to leave open the used drums of Potassium Zirconium Carbonate. The
air within the containers can slowly react with the product leaving solid
sediments at the bottom.
Shelf Life of 6 months from the date of manufacturing stored in air tight sealed containers away from direct heat and sunlight.
